GLOBAL Roland DG Connect” Expands Service Area for Enhanced Customer Communications and Creativity

Roland DG Corporation, a leading manufacturer of wide-format inkjet printers and printer/cutters, today announced the expansion of its cloud-based “Roland DG Connect” service.

Roland DG Connect was developed with the aim to improve customer satisfaction and success by providing a more comfortable and stable operating environment, improved workflow efficiency, increased business development and profitability, and to enable people with different skills, goals and requirements to collaborate and share ideas. The free service was launched in Japan, North America and the UK on April 27, 2021.
In addition to the existing Japanese and English languages, the service now supports Spanish, German, French, Italian, Portuguese, and Korean, and has expanded coverage to Europe, Latin America, Oceania, and Korea.

Currently, Roland DG Connect provides instant access to key performance metrics, allowing the user to monitor device activity and increase production efficiency. Should an error occur, the shared information on the operating status and history of the product can be used to reduce the time of repair, thus helping to reduce downtime for the customer. The Health Check function monitors major components, such as the print head, and notifies users of required maintenance to assist them in keeping their product in good working condition for stable operation. In addition, the Dashboard function offers an easy-to-understand, color-coded view of operating status to improve product utilization for more efficient business operations.

Tony Miller, President, Global Sales and Marketing Division, said, “Roland DG Connect is a service that greatly expands the creative possibilities of our customers by connecting them to a wide range of people and resources over the Internet. We will continue to add new features, services, and geographic coverage as needed to generate an even more compelling creative ecosystem with our customers around the world.”

Roland DG Connect is currently available for all TrueVIS models including VG2-640/540, SG2-640/540/300, VF2-640, VG-640/540, SG-540/300. Updating to the latest firmware is required. Supported products will be expanded in the future.
