Canon at GPP 2022: ‘Amazing exhibition’

Shadi Bakhour, B2B Business Unit Director, Canon Middle East, says Gulf Print and Pack (GPP) 2022 was an amazing event. We saw the eagerness of people to come back after the hiatus of two years to transform and reflect on ideas. The pre-registration itself was higher this year. We always have trust in this market. The market is not fading. We have seen some tremendous volumes than the 2018 and 2019 events. It was nice to see our customers as well as competitors. We saw the hunger of people reconnecting again.

“Printing is growing when it comes to signage, wide format, inkjet etc.  We have seen enormous growth. Printing is not dying. Offset printing is dropping due to the digital transformation. Digitisation is taking place. Production print is growing. This is an industry that will grow further. Digital printing is all about creativity. It is not about printing alone. All printers should create a creativity department. It will help you to serve your customers better.

“Also, we maintain a great focus on sustainability in line with the 2030 vision of UN.”
