BOBST to explore partnerships and collaborations at GPP 2024

At Gulf Print & Pack 2024, BOBST will showcase its latest innovations and solutions, targeting the specific needs and demands of the Gulf and Middle East markets. Eric Pavone, Region Business Director, Bobst Africa, Middle East, Turkey and Caucasus, in a conversation with PrintWeek MENA, said, “We will explore partnerships and collaborations with local businesses to enhance our presence in the region, focusing on sustainability, as environmental concerns are increasingly important in the printing industry. We plan to unveil the advancements in our existing technologies to stay competitive in the market, engaging with potential customers before the event, arranging demonstrations, and participating in relevant roadshows and conferences.

“Together with a supporting ecosystem of industry-leading partners and collaborators, BOBST has designed and developed a family of new high-barrier, mono-material, recycle-ready substrates which have performance levels equivalent to the non-recyclable mixed material equivalents. These solutions have been stepped up from R&D solutions to industrialized solutions and have been successfully promoted and accepted in the market. It will enable BOBST customers to fast-track the development phase in creating more circular packaging solutions and help reduce their time to market to help support waste reduction and resource circularity.”

He explains, “Let’s take BOBST’s journey in digital label printing: digital is a must for any label printing company, I don’t believe so much in the story of digital vs flexo; they are complementary technologies, and successful label companies invest in digital, but they also invest in flexo. BOBST masters all the key technologies required to produce all types of labels efficiently - flexography, digital inkjet, embellishment and finishing. From 1 to 1 million labels, optimize the entire production floor by choosing and building the platform that best meets our customer requirements. The modular and upgradable All-in-One hybrid solutions provide flexibility and agility to address a wide range of applications with a single piece of equipment. With the highest digital and analogue integration and automation, our digital and hybrid solutions are available in 340 mm and 510 mm print widths in a new design that has been optimized for full modularity, improved operation, and servicing. BOBST follows a long-term strategy, we aim to be, or become, No. 1 or 2 in the markets we address to further contribute to the long-term development of the Group. To deliver on these objectives for the label, flexible packaging, folding carton and corrugated board markets, we establish our long-term success on key pillars – innovation, operational excellence, people and growth. We invest in our people, those focused internally to grant operational excellence and those who help our clients maximize their productivity and satisfaction. We build new substrate processing technologies to increase sustainability. We are committed to shaping the future of the packaging world.”
