GPP 2026: Ricoh targets growth and efficiency with next-generation production technologies

In this interview, Dennis Moll, Commercial Director, Ricoh Graphic Communications, Emerging Markets Group EMEA, discusses Ricoh’s strategic priorities, latest technology innovations, and the key opportunities shaping the print and packaging landscape across MENA ahead of the Gulf Print & Pack 2026.

1. What are your main objectives for exhibiting at Gulf Print & Pack this year?

Our primary objective is to reinforce our leadership position across the region by demonstrating how we help print and packaging businesses grow profitably. Gulf Print & Pack is a key platform for engaging with decision makers, strengthening partnerships, and translating innovation into real commercial value. We are focused on quality conversations, qualified opportunities, and long term collaboration rather than just visibility. The GPP is the perfect platform to display Co-innovation and connect with our business partners and prospects.

2. Which new technologies or solutions are you most excited to showcase, and why are they particularly relevant in today’s market?

We are showcasing next generation production technologies designed for higher productivity, automation, and operational efficiency. These solutions directly address today’s market pressures of rising costs, shorter turnaround times, and the growing demand for consistent, premium output.

Ricoh is thrilled to launch the RICOH MediaMax kit at GPP. The industry leading customisation kit enables the RICOH Pro™ C9500 digital colour sheetfed press to print on a range of Ricoh approved paper thicknesses of up to 800 microns.

In addition, we will display our latest generation sheetfed devices, headlined by the RICOH Pro™ C5400, along with the fast and precise colour matching capabilities of the Ricoh Auto Color Adjuster (RACA).

3. What key trends do you expect will dominate conversations at this year’s show?

We expect strong focus on automation, workflow integration, and sustainability driven efficiency. Clients are increasingly asking how to do more with fewer resources - whether that means reduced waste, lower energy consumption, or smarter production planning. Another major trend is the shift from transactional purchasing to solution based partnerships that deliver measurable ROI.

This will go hand in hand with our print on demand solution for book printing, that supports operations making their offset to digital transformation.

4. What specific opportunities are you seeing across the GCC and wider MENA print and packaging markets in 2026?

The GCC and wider MENA markets continue to show strong momentum, driven by retail expansion, packaging localisation, government diversification strategies, and growing demand for high quality printed materials. In 2026, we see significant opportunities in commercial print, packaging, and industrial applications - especially with clients upgrading from legacy systems to more automated, future-ready production environments that empower their offset to digital journeys.

5. How do you plan to engage with potential partners or customers before, during, and after the show?

Engagement starts well before the exhibition through targeted outreach and scheduled meetings. During the show, we focus on live demonstrations, real world use cases, and executive level discussions. Post event, our priority is fast follow-up focused on turning interest into concrete projects through consultations, site visits, and tailored business proposals. Consistency before, during, and after the show is critical to building trust.

6. From a strategic perspective, what are your company’s priorities for the next 12–24 months?

Our priorities are clear: accelerate growth in high value segments, deepen strategic partnerships, and continue investing in technology that delivers measurable client success. We are also focused on expanding service excellence, strengthening regional coverage, and helping clients future proof their businesses in an increasingly competitive and fast evolving market.

Inkjet will play a key role for our future as you can see from our growing portfolio that includes  the high speed RICOH Pro™ VC80000 and the B2 sheetfed RICOH Pro™ Z75.
