Weigang targets GCC growth with flexible, future-ready label solutions

As demand for shorter runs, greater SKU diversity, and cost-efficient production intensifies across the GCC and wider MENA region, Weigang Technology Co. Ltd. is positioning itself as a long-term technology partner for converters navigating this shift. Aegean He, Director of Marketing Communications at Weigang, outlines the company’s regional expansion strategy, the launch of its latest flexo platform, and how scalable, stable, and sustainability-focused solutions are shaping its approach at Gulf Print & Pack 2026.

Q: What are your main objectives for exhibiting at Gulf Print & Pack this year?

Our primary objective is to further strengthen Weigang’s presence across the GCC and wider MENA region. Dubai is a strategic gateway connecting Asia, Africa, and Europe, and we see this exhibition as an important platform to deepen long-term cooperation in the region.

In addition to presenting the ZJR 350G flexo press, we are actively expanding our regional partnership network and seeking strong local collaborators who share our commitment to technical service and sustainable growth.

Q: Which new technologies or solutions are you most excited to showcase, and why are they particularly relevant in today’s market?

This year we are presenting the ZJR 350G flexo press at stand G13, designed for stable performance, efficient job changeovers, and flexible configuration.

As SKU (Stock Keeping Unit) diversity continues to increase, converters are facing shorter runs and higher complexity. The ZJR 350G is built to respond to this shift with consistent registration, reliable web control, and optimized material utilization.

Beyond flexo, Weigang also offers offset label presses and digital printing solutions, as well as integrated hybrid production lines. Our goal is to provide converters with scalable technology platforms that match different business stages and application requirements.

Q: What key trends do you expect will dominate conversations at this year’s show?

We expect strong focus on:

• Production efficiency and cost control

• Flexibility for short-run and multi-SKU production

• Sustainability linked directly to operational performance

Across global markets, investment decisions are increasingly based on long-term reliability rather than peak speed alone.

Q: What specific opportunities are you seeing across the GCC and MENA for 2026?

We see continued expansion in food packaging, beverage labels, personal care, and pharmaceutical segments.

As local manufacturing capabilities grow, there is rising demand for internationally competitive printing quality combined with stable, cost-efficient production systems.

We believe the region offers strong opportunities not only for equipment supply but also for deeper technical cooperation and localized support structures.

Q: How do you plan to engage with potential partners or customers before, during, and after the show?

Before the show, we have been coordinating with regional contacts to arrange technical discussions.

During the exhibition, our team will focus on practical application dialogue rather than simple specification presentations.

After the show, we will continue engagement through sample testing, configuration planning, and factory visits. We warmly welcome partners from the GCC and MENA region to visit our manufacturing base in China to better understand our production capability and engineering strength.

Q: From a strategic perspective, what are your company’s priorities for the next 12–24 months?

Our priorities include:

• Continuous enhancement of product stability and automation

• Expansion of international partnership networks

• Further strengthening sustainable manufacturing practices

We aim to be not only a machine supplier, but a long-term technology partner supporting responsible industry growth.
