SGI MENA set to reboot region’s visual communication landsc…
The Sign and Graphic Imaging show — the Middle East and North Africa region’s largest international trade exhibition for sign‑making, printing, and imaging — is entering a bold new chapter. With nearly three decades of proven excellence, the event has long served as the industry’s cornerstone gathering.
Now, under the new leadership of GL Exhibitions the show is being re‑envisioned for the future, evolving from a traditional exhibition into a dynamic marketplace that mirrors the industry’s own transformation — where print, display, LED, audio‑visual, retail, and smart technologies converge to deliver fully integrated solutions for modern businesses. As part of this evolution, the show is adopting a new identity. Formerly known as SGI Dubai, it will now be branded SGI MENA, reflecting its wider regional reach and growing influence across the Middle East and North Africa. The rebranded edition will run from 26 - 28 October 2026 at the Dubai World Trade Center, maintaining its reputation as the region’s most important industry platform while positioning itself firmly for the future.
“SGI has been a flagship event for the industry for three decades, consistently bringing together innovators, buyers, and global exhibitors to shape the future of visual communication. Under the new stewardship of GL Exhibitions, we are entering a transformative phase that honours the show’s legacy while infusing it with global innovation, integrated solutions, and future‑ready experiences. This evolution ensures SGI MENA remains the region’s most influential platform, delivering unparalleled opportunities for our stakeholders year after year,”

The Middle East’s signage and imaging landscape is advancing rapidly as print, LED, digital signage, AV systems, and smart technologies converge into seamless, end‑to‑end solutions. Brands increasingly seek platforms where they can showcase innovations and engage directly with decision‑makers — a need SGI MENA uniquely fulfills as the region’s most influential marketplace. With the regional digital signage market projected to grow from nearly US$2 billion in 2026 to US$3.4 billion by 2031, SGI MENA sits at the centre of this momentum, enabling companies to meet rising demand and accelerate adoption of next‑generation display technologies.
“SGI’s growth is fuelled by the rapid adoption of digital signage across smart‑city projects, major infrastructure developments, and expanding transportation and urban communication networks, as well as strong demand from the region’s retail, hospitality, and tourism sectors for advanced displays and immersive visual solutions,” says Pillai.
More than a three‑day exhibition, SGI MENA functions as a year‑round business platform spanning Sign & Display, Print & Pack, LED & Digital, Audio & Light, Retail & Event, and Smart Tech. It attracts strong regional participation along with international exhibitors from India, Japan, Belgium, Taiwan, China, Korea, Turkey, Germany, the UK, and the UAE. With nearly 70% of visitors being key decision‑makers, the show delivers a high‑quality audience that drives sustained business engagement. A key feature of the 2026 edition will be the Hosted Buyer Program, offering guaranteed one‑to‑one meetings with verified, high‑intent buyers to maximise commercial outcomes.
Advanced LED and OLED displays, AI‑driven content platforms, and interactive digital systems are now reshaping retail, travel, and hospitality environments, alongside breakthroughs in large‑format printing, 3D fabrication, and sustainable materials. SGI MENA brings all these advancements together, offering a future‑ready stage where visitors can experience the latest technologies through live demos, product launches, and hands‑on showcases
