  More than 3,400 visits from over 2,700 industry professionals from 80 countries attended the second edition of FESPA Middle East, the region’s leading event for the global speciality print and signage industries, which took place at the Dubai Exhibition Centre from 20 – 22 January. Rashed Jihad Abdeljalil,Business Development Manager at Flex-Europa, said: "FESPA Middle East 2025 was an exciting and productive experience for us. The energy at the event was incredible, and it gave us a great opportunity to connect with customers, partners, and industry professionals. It was a chance to share ideas, showcase our innovations, and really engage with the printing community. Additionally, it gave us a chance to learn more about other businesses’ needs and gain valuable insights which will help us better support our customers moving forward. "We were excited to display some of our latest innovations at FESPA, including our advanced UV, Eco-Solvent, Labels, and laser printing solutions. Live demonstrations were a big part of our booth, and it was great to see so many people interested in what we offer. We focused on giving visitors hands-on experiences, including printing out their own designs while helping them understand how our machines can meet their specific needs. "This show was a great platform for building new connections and strengthening existing relationships. Sustainability was a major focus for us this year, as we highlighted our eco-friendly machines and materials, such as roll-up media, inks, and printers. We are grateful for the strong interest in these sustainable solutions. It’s evident that the printing industry is making positive progress."

SGI Dubai 2024, the Middle East and Africa’s largest signage and graphic imaging expo, concluded its  27th  edition with  record-breaking  success.  The  event,  which  took  place  from  September  24th to  26th  at  the  Dubai  World  Trade  Centre,  attracted  several  global  print  and  signage  leaders  and welcomed visitors from 100 countries. The expo was buzzing from the moment the doors opened until the final hour, solidifying SGI Dubai’s position as one of the key players in the US$27.85 billion global print equipment market. This  year’s  event  showcased  the  latest  in  large-format  printing,  textile  printing,  LED  technology, digital signage, precision cutting machines, metal cutting, and other industry-leading technologies. Exhibitors displayed a wide array of products, from high-performance printing equipment to cutting- edge  visual  communication  tools.  Notably,  a  significant  number  of  exhibitors  reported  selling  a majority of their machines right from the exhibition floor, underscoring the serious buying interest and commercial success of the event. Live demonstrations, particularly in car wrapping, became one of the standout attractions, captivating audiences  and  demonstrating  the  creative  potential  of  the  industry.  These  dynamic  showcases highlighted the precision, speed, and flexibility of modern printing technology, attracting substantial attention from business owners and industry influencers alike. One  of  the  show’s  unique  features  was  the  Wall  of  Fame,  where  exhibitors  displayed  their  most creative and visually striking artworks. This vibrant space became a focal point for visitors, showcasing innovative designs and techniques that demonstrated the limitless potential of large-format printing, vehicle graphics, textile printing, and more. The Wall of Fame gave exhibitors a platform to highlight their artistic achievements, while also inspiring attendees with the latest trends in visual design. Abdulrahman Falaknaz, President of International Expo Consults, expressed his enthusiasm about this year’s achievements: “SGI Dubai 2024 exceeded expectations on every front. Agfa’s Avinci CX3200 is a highly reliable and convenient soft signage printer that can print directly to fabrics and onto transfer paper. It uses an off-line calendar unit to ensure perfect fixation. Agfa’s dedicated dye sublimation roll-to-roll printer will enable you to create vibrant, high-quality prints on polyester-based fabrics up to 3.2 m wide, including a broad range of in- and outdoor soft signage applications, as well as interior decoration. The Avinci CX3200 boasts a rich color gamut and delivers deep black, perfect solids, accurate spot color mapping and smooth tonal rendering that is particularly noticeable in skin tones. The Avinci inks are characterised by their flexibility, image longevity and outdoor resistance. They offer stable jetting performance and deliver the same high-quality results, batch after batch. An off-line calender unit fixes the color deeply into the structure of the polyester-based fabrics while evaporating the carrier fluid. When was it launched at what are the target markets? It was launched on June 22, 2021, and aimed at soft signage industry, sports wear, fashion industry and home décor. Avinic CX3200 is a 3.2 m wide Dye Sub Textile printer capable of printing on polyester based textiles. Does it replace an earlier product? It replaces the earlier model of DX3200. The Avinci CX3200 is driven by Agfa’s Asanti wide-format workflow software. Color accuracy is provided by the easy-to-use color management. Using  their Calibrated Print Mode feature, new media can be calibrated and profiled in less than 15 minutes, after which the new profiles can be used to guarantee print quality. Asanti controls and automates the entire printing process from file intake to finishing, maximising productivity. Its comprehensive integration of file handling, color management and preflighting guarantees smooth and error-free jobs. The web-based Asanti Production Dashboard offers a view on your running production.
